InnovaClothingPatrick and Jenny Gardner founded Innova in 2000 as a result of a survey of 5000 UK women as to what they were looking for in on line clothing.

The survey showed a huge unsatisfied demand for what have become the four key elements of InnovaClothing

  • arrowFashionable Clothes
  • arrowGood fit
  • arrowThe ability to request styles and fabrics that suit the customer’s bodyshape and colouring
  • arrowPrices that are no more than for comparable sized clothes.

Creating the bodyscanning based technology to achieve this has been a long and quite difficult task.  Patrick Gardner says “If we had known how difficult the technology would be, I suspect that we might never have started!”

Innova teamed up with Deryck Walker, Kerry and Stefan from Vidler and Nixon and Niki Taylor from Olanic to bring flair and fashion to InnovaClothing.  They have been excellent and constructive partners.  Innova expects to steadily widen the number of “fashion partners” (be they retailers or designers) over the next two years.  It’s long term role is to provide it’s fashion partners with the platform to bring InnovaClothing to their current and potential customers.

Innova is based in Glasgow with most of its staff being drawn from graduates of Glasgow’s Universities and Colleges.  However, the women of Glasgow have also played a very important part in the development process.  Around 350 have given their time and their support to the development of the technology as we made around 2500 garments to test out and improve the workings of the technology.

We can truly say that “The women of Glasgow have helped us to get it right for the women of the world.”
