Trouser Choices

Your choice of trouser style will be influenced by numerous things, your shape, your height the degree of comfort that you require and the occasions when the trousers will be worn, all will have some bearing.
Although our styles are similar in name to some jeans, that is where the similarity ends. Our trousers are classically tailored, beautifully cut and fully lined, making them ideal for the office, those important business meetings and all social gatherings.

We have 4 leg shape options available:

Tapered Leg

This is a style that is really in fashion just now, however we think that if you’re an apple shape then perhaps this isn’t the best look for you…while those who are ‘straight up and down’ can work this look effortlessly. Don’t get us wrong - you might live through the weekends in a pair of skinny jeans, however, when not teamed with that oversized top they aren’t quite so forgiving!

Straight Leg

This style is a ‘halfway house’ between the Tapered Leg and Boot cut – while dropping straight to the ground, the trouser is not quite as flared and has a more conservative feel. This leg shape is well suited for those who are bottom heavy; the leg shape helps to balance your look.

Boot Cut

Thanks to the subtle kick at the bottom, this style works brilliantly with both flats and heels and is perhaps one of the most popular styles of trouser. Pear shapes should watch out, however, as the curves ‘in and out’ at the leg may accentuate larger thighs.

Wide Leg

This is a style that works well moving from day to evening – wide legs work brilliantly with high heels, giving a great length to your legs and making you look taller. Like the Boot cut it is well suited to most shapes, it is particularly good for those with larger hips and thighs.

All our trousers are fully lined to the ankle with 100% Bemberg Sateen Lining, for most customers a completely new experience, they feel amazing!

In addition, there are also 3 waistband heights to choose from:

Lower waisted

Our low waisted trousers are not the traditional hipsters style commonly associated with jeans, although this height of waist band is ideal for the more daring amongst us who don’t mind a bit of midriff showing.

Middle waisted

If you are indecisive then this is possibly the one to go for – it is neither low nor high waisted and is well suited for a variety of shapes and sizes as it sits more or less at the height of your tummy button.

Waisted

Like our Middle waisted trousers, this is also a very versatile style, suiting all shapes and sizes and sits at about waist level – for the smaller frame, this will help to draw attention to your nipped in waistline and for those who are the opposite, it will dress around your body, showing off your curves.

Zips – yes, you will need one

We know that the positioning of a zip can make all the difference to your shape – so we’ve given you 3 options that you can choose from:

Front Zip

This is the ‘tried and tested’ front fly option which often comes as standard with store bought trousers – it’s great for easy access and always matched nicely with a button.  Belt loops can also be chosen as an additional option with this zip location

Side Zip

The concealed side zip leaves the front of your trousers smooth, giving a flat front appearance and is less likely to draw attention to a larger tummy.

Back Zip

The concealed back zip gives a clean cut appearance to both your tummy and your hips.

With or without Belt Loop?

It’s your choice whether to have belt loops if you choose to have a front zip, but belt loops are not an option if you have a side or back zip.
